Smart Course Creation

Step-by-step method of creating a course using artificial intelligence

A Smart course is a step-by-step method of creating a course using artificial intelligence, which speeds up and facilitates the creation of courses tens of times. The platform allows an administrator to upload materials or provide web links and automatically generate a full training course in just a few minutes. Courses created through the Smart mode are designed for quick completion and rapid knowledge acquisition.

Starting Course Creation

To launch the course generation process:

  1. Click the Create course button.

  2. Select Evolve Generate from the dropdown menu.

  3. Choose the Smart generation mode that fits your timeline and depth (short bite-sized lessons generated on the go, ready in minutes).

  4. Click Start Creating.

Source Type

You can base your AI-generated course on either uploaded files or direct web links.

Files

  • Upload up to two files with source materials for the course. Supported formats:

    • PDF

    • Word (DOCX).

  • If the uploaded documents contain images, they will be automatically recognized and embedded in the course in the appropriate places.

  • Excel files, video, and audio are not currently supported. Support for additional formats is planned in future updates.

Links

  • Provide direct URLs to external websites or web pages. The platform will automatically parse the information from the provided links to create a structured course.

    • Select the Links tab under the Source type section.

    • Enter the web address in the input field.

    • Click the + Add link button to include multiple web pages as source material.

    • To remove a previously added link, click the Delete button next to it.

    • Note: Only http:// and https:// links are supported.

Filling in Course Parameters

After providing your source materials (Files or Links), fill in the following fields:

  • Course title - a short and clear name (e.g., "Corporate Ethics").

  • Description / course goal - what the course is for (e.g., "Learn the company's rules").

  • Source type - choose either uploaded files or web links.

  • Course language - the platform language is set by default. Can be changed to any supported language.

  • Color palette - choose the palette for infographics and diagrams (e.g., your corporate colors).

  • Course length - choose one of the options: up to 10 minutes, 10-20 minutes, or 15-30 minutes.

  • Tone of Voice - defines the style of content delivery (e.g., Professional, Friendly, Straightforward).

  • Target audience - specify who the course is for (e.g., "New employees").

  • Desired structure - optional. If you have preferences for the structure, specify them.

Generating the Course Structure

After filling in all parameters, click Generate Course Details to start generation. The process consists of two stages:

Stage 1: Structure Generation

The system analyzes the uploaded materials or links and forms the course structure: chapters and lessons. This stage takes several minutes. You can monitor the progress in real time as the system:

  • Analyzes the attached documents or links.

  • Reviews the materials to determine the topic, key meanings, and foundation of the future course.

  • Fills the database with course details, gathering and structuring all information about the goals, audience, content, and logic of the training.

When the structure is ready, you will see a list of chapters, each containing lessons (theoretical blocks).

Working with the Structure

At this stage you can:

  • View the generated chapters and lessons.

  • Change the order of chapters and lessons by dragging them.

  • Delete unnecessary chapters or individual lessons.

  • Edit titles.

When you are satisfied with the structure, click Confirm the structure to proceed to the next stage.

Stage 2: Generating Lesson Content

After confirming the structure, the sequential generation of each lesson's content will begin. Lessons are generated one by one.

You can:

  • Wait for the first completed lesson, open it, and start editing.

  • Work with already completed lessons while the remaining ones are still being generated.

  • Add new lessons or chapters manually at any time.

Editing and Enriching the Course

After all content has been generated, additional features are available to enrich your course.

Introduction and Conclusion

  • Click the "Introduction and Conclusion" button. The system will create introductory and concluding sections based on all the generated content.

  • You can:

    • Use all suggested options.

    • Keep only the ones you like.

    • Delete those that don't fit.

    • Move infographics between content blocks using the arrows.

Voiceover and Re-voiceover

  • You can automatically generate audio narration for your lessons. Select the desired voice and generate the audio. If you are not satisfied with the pronunciation or pacing, you can use the re-voiceover feature to regenerate the audio track until it meets your requirements.

Editing Content

  • Inside each lesson, full editing is available. You can modify text, rearrange blocks, and add your own content. All these options are available using the Evolve Studio editor.

Course Settings

In the separate Settings section on the course structure page, the following are available:

Planned Improvements

The following are planned in upcoming updates:

  • Mascot generation — the ability to create a virtual helper character for the course with a choice of style and color scheme.

  • Return to original request — viewing the parameters with which the course was created.

Tip: The Smart mode is ideal for quickly creating short training courses from existing materials or web links. For fully customized, large-scale courses, use the "Advanced" process.
