The Org Chart (Organizational Structure) is an administrator tool designed to group users into company divisions: departments, teams, and branches. This structure allows assigning employees to specific units, appointing managers, and managing training at the team level.
Roles in a Unit
Three types of participants can be assigned to each unit:
Role | Description |
Unit Employee | A regular member of the unit. They belong to the team but do not receive additional management permissions. |
Unit Manager | Receives access to the "My Team" section in the left sidebar of the platform (in user mode). They can view the list of employees in their unit and track their training progress. |
Unit Observer | This role is not directly linked to the Org Chart and does not synchronize automatically. It grants access to the unit tab containing the user list and report exports, but does not provide access to the "My Team" section. |
Part 1. Creating a Unit
Go to the "Org Chart" -> "Manage Org Chart" section.
Click the "+ Add unit" button at the bottom of the list.
Name — enter the name of the unit.
Color — select a color tag (grey, light blue, blue, purple, red, orange, green).
Icon — select an icon from the predefined set or click "Show all icons".
Unit Code (optional) — a unique identifier used for imports and integrations.
Click "Save".
The unit is created at the top level. To create a nested sub-unit, expand the parent unit (by clicking on it) and click the "+ Add unit" button directly beneath it.
Part 2. Adding Employees to a Unit
On the "Org Chart" page, click on the desired unit in the list.
In the right-hand "Settings" panel, find the "Employees in unit" field and click "Add".
In the "Add users" window, find the required employee using the search bar or scroll through the list.
Click "Add" next to the employee's name. You can add multiple employees at once.
Click "Save" in the right-hand settings panel.
The "Show all employees" button in the settings panel allows you to view the complete list of current unit members.
Part 3. Assigning a Unit Manager
Any platform user can be appointed as a manager, regardless of whether they are already members of the unit or new users.
Option A: The employee is already in the unit
Click on the unit in the "Org Chart" list.
In the right panel, click "Add" next to "Unit Manager".
In the "Already added" section, find the required employee.
Check the "Unit Manager" toggle under the employee's name.
Click "Save" in the right panel.
⚠️ There can be multiple managers in a single unit. Each of them will receive access to the "My Team" section and will be able to see all employees within the unit.
Option B: New employee (not yet in the unit)
Click on the unit in the "Org Chart" list.
In the right panel, click "Add" next to "Unit Manager".
In the "Users" section, find the required employee.
Click "Add" next to their name. The employee will be added to the unit.
In the "Already added" section, check the "Unit Manager" toggle.
Click "Save" in the right panel.
Part 4. "My Team" Section — What the Manager Sees
Once a user is assigned the "Unit Manager" role, the "My Team" section appears in the primary left-hand menu during their next login.
What is available in the "My Team" section
A list of unit employees, including their names and profile photos.
Training progress details for each team member.
Quick navigation to an employee's profile for detailed review.
When navigating to an employee's profile from the Manager role, more detailed information on their current activities is displayed (including assigned Development Tracks, courses, assessments, events, etc.). Detailed information about the employee profile can be found in the "User Profile" article.
⚠️ The "My Team" section is only visible in user mode. If the manager also has administrator rights — switch to user mode using the "Switch to User" button in the left menu. |
⚠️ The "Unit Observer" role does NOT open the "My Team" section. Observers gain access to unit reporting, but not to the "My Team" interface. |
Part 5. Importing the Org Chart
If the company already uses an HR system or a directory of departments, the structure can be uploaded in bulk using the import feature.
Prepare a file in the required format and upload it, following the on-screen instructions.
After importing, verify the structure and make manual adjustments if necessary.
⚠️ When using the "Unit Code" field manually — this code must match the code in your HR system for correct synchronization.
