Smart AI generation

Step-by-step method of creating a course using artificial intelligence

This method speeds up and facilitates the creation of courses tens of times. The platform allows an administrator to upload materials or provide web links and automatically generate a full training course in just a few minutes. Courses created through the Smart mode are designed for quick completion and rapid knowledge acquisition.

Create a course with Smart AI

Once you are in administrator view (look here how to switch views), go to "Courses"| in the "Learning" tab and click the "+ Create course" button.

Step 1. Select Evolve Generate from the dropdown menu and choose "Smart". Click "Start Creating":

Step 2. Complete the course form.

You have to fill in all the information about the future course in the form:

  • the name of the course - a short and clear name (e.g., "Corporate Ethics"),

  • choose the source type: files or links,

Source Types

You can base your AI-generated course on either uploaded files or direct web links.

Files

  • Upload up to two files with source materials for the course. Supported formats:

    • PDF

    • Word (DOCX)

    • PPTX

  • We recommend files between 10 and 100 pages for the best results.

  • If the uploaded documents contain images, they will be automatically recognized and embedded in the course in the appropriate places.

Excel files, video, and audio are not currently supported. Support for additional formats is planned in future updates.

Links

  • Provide direct URLs to external websites or web pages. The system will automatically detect and process PDF files available on the provided web pages and include their content when generating the course.

    • Select the Links tab under the Source type section.

    • Enter the web address in the input field.

    • Click the + Add link button to include multiple web pages as source material.

    • To remove a previously added link, click the Delete button next to it.

Note: only http:// and https:// links are supported.

Filling in Course Parameters

After providing your source materials (Files or Links), fill in the following fields:

  • Course duration - choose one of the options: up to 10 minutes, 10-20 minutes, or 15-30 minutes.

  • Tone of Voice - defines the style of content delivery (e.g., Professional, Friendly, Straightforward).

  • Course language - the platform language is set by default. Can be changed to any supported language.

  • Media generation setting - customize your brand palette based either on your document/link or manually. Colors are also available for selection in the "Account Settings" section. For more details on how they are used, please read the article "Company Account Setup".

  • Description / course goal - what the course is for, what are the course objectives (e.g., "Learn the company's rules; practical check").

  • Target audience - specify who the course is for (e.g., "New employees").

  • Desired structure - your preferences for the structure.

Your task is to clearly and in detail describe the course structure, objectives and expectations of the final result, our platform will do the rest.

✅ Before submitting, please make sure all fields are filled in correctly.

Step 3: Start generation

After filling in the form, click the “Create course structure” button. It will begin generating automatically. Please do not close this window or navigate away until the course structure has been generated. This process may take a few minutes. If you leave at this point, the generation will be interrupted and will need to be started again.

The system analyzes the uploaded materials or links and forms the course structure: chapters and lessons. You can monitor the progress in real time as the system:

  • Analyzes the attached documents or links.

  • Reviews the materials to determine the topic, key meanings, and foundation of the future course.

  • Fills the database with course details, gathering and structuring all information about the goals, audience, content, and logic of the training.

Generation in progress — analyzing the attached document

When generation is done you will see the course structure.

Step 4: Confirming the structure

At this stage you can:

  • View the generated chapters and lessons.

  • Change the order of chapters and lessons by dragging them.

  • Delete unnecessary chapters or individual lessons.

  • Edit titles.

When you are satisfied with the structure, click Confirm the structure to proceed to the next step. Now the platform starts generating the content of the lessons.

Step 5. Editing the course elements

Once the content is generated you can configure, add and edit all the elements. According to your subscription type you may have some or all of the following media generation features.

  • Voiceover: configure the settings for generating voiceover for the course
These settings will be used for all subsequent voiceover generations within this course. If you are not satisfied with the pronunciation or pacing, you can regenerate the audio track until it meets your requirements. For each lesson, you can generate Audios separately. To do this, go to editing a specific lesson and click the "Add elements" button, choose "Audio". ⚠️ Voiceover generation will run automatically, and there is no need to stay on the same page. However, if any changes were made inside the lesson, don't forget to save them before leaving the editor.

  • Video Settings: configure the settings for generating video for the course

These settings will be used for all video generations within this course

If settings are not configured, default colors and voice will be used. For each lesson, you can generate videos. To do this, go to editing a specific lesson and click the "Add elements" button, choose "Video". ⚠️ Video generation will run automatically, and there is no need to stay on the same page. However, if any changes were made inside the lesson, don't forget to save them before leaving the editor.

  • Infographic Settings: set up the palette for generating infographics in the course

This setting affects all subsequent generations. If you need to add your custom color pallete, send an email to [email protected]. For each lesson, you can generate infographics, diagrams, and visual materials in your chosen color palette. To do this, go to editing a specific lesson and click the "Add infographics to the lesson" button.

You can also generate the Introduction, Conclusion and Knowledge Check, but we recommend doing it after editing the course content, because it's actually based on the content of the course. They are created in one click; by default, a course feedback question is added to the conclusion, and an introductory task/question is added to the introduction.

To add an introduction and conclusion, simply click the corresponding button at the very beginning of the newly generated course. Once you launch the introduction and conclusion generation, you will see a corresponding warning dialog box: "As soon as the introduction and conclusion generation is complete, you will immediately see the corresponding sections in the course structure."

Knowledge Assessment

In addition to generating the introduction and conclusion a knowledge assessment feature is also available. To generate assessment tasks, click the "Knowledge Check" button.

In the window that opens, you can select one or more of your preferred options:

  • Single-choice

  • Multiple-choice

  • Open answer

  • Practical choice

  • True/False

  • Practical answer

After completion, they will appear in the course chapters. You can go into the settings of each task and verify them. For more details on tasks and assessing completed material, please read our guide "Tasks: quiz, open-ended question, survey for knowledge verification".

Editing Content

Inside each lesson, full editing is available. You can modify text, rearrange blocks, and add your own content. All these options are available using the Evolve Studio editor.
