Assigning a Course to Users

Once a course is created and ready to launch, it needs to be assigned to employees. There are several ways to do this:

  • via the user list

  • from a specific user's profile card

  • from the course analytics page

If the system detects users who have already been assigned this course before, it will offer to reassign the course to those users (see "Course Reassignment" section below).

Method 1. Assign a course to one or more users via the user list

  1. Open the "Users" section in the left menu.

  2. Check the boxes next to the required employees. A counter "Selected: N of M" and an "Assign Course" button will appear in the header row.

  3. Click "Assign Course" — an assignment window will open showing the names of the selected users.

  4. Select course(s) from the "Available Courses" dropdown.

  5. Configure the parameters (see "Assignment Parameters" section below).

  6. Click "Assign Course."

Method 2. Assign a course to one user from their profile card

  1. Open the "Users" section, find the required employee, and click their name.

  2. On the "User Details" page, either click the "Assign Activity" button and then "Assign Course," or go to the "Courses" tab (or click "Show All" in the "Courses" block).

  3. Click "Assign Course" in the upper right corner.

  4. Select the course and configure the parameters — the same as for bulk assignment.

  5. Click "Assign Course."

Method 3. Assign a course to one or more users from the course analytics page

  1. Open the "Courses" section in the left menu.

  2. Select a course, click "..." and choose "Analytics."

  3. On the course details page, click the "Add Participant" button.

  4. Select the required user and click "Add," or filter users and click "Add All."

Assignment Parameters

Assignment settings:

  1. One-time — the course is assigned once.

  2. Recurring — the course will be automatically reassigned after completion:

    1. "Individual" — after X days from completion (default 30),

    2. "Fixed date" — on a specific day of the week / month / year.

Deadline type:

  • "From course settings" — takes the deadline from the course's own settings.

  • "Individual deadline" — you set a number of days from the assignment date.

  • "Fixed deadline" — a specific date.

  • "Open-ended" — no time limit.

  • Auto-start deadline: If enabled, the deadline countdown starts automatically from the moment of assignment. If disabled — the deadline starts manually or via another trigger.

  • Send notification (enabled by default): The user receives an email with a login link and information about the assigned course. If not needed — turn it off before assigning.

Course Reassignment

If a user has already completed or is currently taking a course but it needs to be "restarted" — use reassignment. The availability and parameters of reassignment depend on the user's current status in the course.

  • If the current status is "Completed," "Excluded," or "Deleted" — reassignment is possible without restrictions.

  • If the current status is "In Progress" or "Deadline Missed" — the system will offer one of three options:

    • Reset progress — the user's current progress will be zeroed out and the course will be assigned from scratch.

    • Preserve progress — the current assignment will be moved to "Excluded" status, and within that assignment you can see at what stage and with what result the user stopped.

    • Reset deadline — the current assignment is preserved, but the deadline within it is reset to zero.

  • If the current status is "Assigned" — course reassignment is not possible.

Reassignment can be initiated in several ways:

  • via the user list

  • from a specific user's profile card

  • from the course analytics page

Method 1. Reassign a course from the user list

The steps are the same as when assigning a course to one or more users from the user list.

  • If when assigning a course the system detects multiple users with different current statuses, a window will appear describing the action for each user.

  • If multiple users simultaneously have a status of "In Progress" or "Deadline Missed," the system will offer either to choose one action for all (preserve progress, reset progress, or reset deadline), or to define the action for each user individually.

Method 2. Reassign a course to a user from their profile card

Reassignment from a user's profile card is possible either the same way as a regular course assignment, or via "..." in the course row. Here is the second option in detail:

  1. Open the user's profile card → go to the "Courses" tab.

  2. In the row of the required course, click "..." and select "Reassign Course."

  3. The system will show a message depending on the user's current status (described at the beginning of this article).

  4. Configure the deadline and notification — the same parameters as for a regular assignment.

  5. Click "Reassign Course."

From the same "..." row, another action is available — "Remove from Course": completely removes the assignment and deletes the user's progress in this course.

If the course has not been started by the user, instead of "Reassign Course" you will see "Resend Invitation" there.

Method 3. Reassign a course from the course analytics page

Reassignment from the course analytics page is possible either the same way as a regular course assignment, or via "..." in the user's row. The steps are the same as in Method 2 above.

How to View Statistics and Test Results

There are two ways depending on what you need to find:

Analytics for a specific course — open the course → click "..." in the upper right corner → select "Analytics." You will see a list of users, their completion status per assignment, progress, and test results.

To view statistics for a specific user, click the "..." icon and then the "eye" icon next to the user's name to see a detailed breakdown: which questions were asked, which answers were given, how many points were scored.

Statistics are displayed per each course assignment to the user.

Summary report for all courses — in the "Courses" section, click "Download Report" in the upper right corner. An Excel file will download with summary statistics on all account courses: name, type, visibility status, deadline, and the number of users per each completion status.
